Hemingway is a member of Gene Nation, the children of the Morlocks. They grew up in an alternate dimension and did not want to hide from humans as their predecessors had. Hemingway appeared, along with Marrow, when the White Queen attempted to bring Leech and Artie to the Academy. Although Gene Nation were eventually defeated they murdered some security guards and a driver. Hemingway possesses super-strength and enhanced durability.

He comes from a place where ducks rule the world. He gave Chamber and Skin a lift to L.A. and later visited them at the Academy. He helped protect Artie, Franklin and Leech from Black Tom when he attacked.

A founding member of the X-Men, Robert Drake has a history with the White Queen. (They swapped bodies for awhile and she was able to use his powers in new and creative ways.) He later visited the Academy to teach a class on accounting. Iceman has the ability to reduce the temperature in the air around him so that the moisture in it turns to ice, when Emma had his body she could turn into ice.

Cain Marko (aka Juggernaut) is the step-brother of Professor Xavier. He found the gem of Cytorrak, a mystical jewel which turned him into an unstoppable force. The armour he wears protects him from most attacks including psionic ones. Occasionally he is the partner of Black Tom and accompanied him to the Academy when he tried to kill Cordelia Frost.
