X-Man First
appearance: X-Man #1
Nate
Grey (aka X-Man) is from the Age of Apocalypse
reality. In that reality Xavier had died before
he formed the X-Men, Apocalypse ruled the Earth
and Magneto formed his own band of X-Men to
battle him. Nate is the result of Sinister
combining that reality's Jean Grey's DNA with
that of Cyclop's. Nate was transported to this
reality when he stabbed Holocaust (one of the 4
Horsemen of Apocalpyse) with a shard of the M'Kraan
crystal. Recently the X-Man has re-defined
himself as a telepathic shaman, living outside of
society and protecting it. He appeared in GenX
when they were attacked by Gene Nation. Nate is
probably the most powerful psionic being on the
face of the Earth, he possesses vast telekinetic
and telepathic powers rivalling, and possibly
surpassing, those of Phoenix and Prof. X.
