Westort has something for all levels of walker. Take a leisurly
stroll along the old railway line or complete the demanding Western Way, hiking across the magnificent Connemara
moutains and along the shores of Lough Corrib. |

Take in native wildlife on forest walks
such as Tourmakeady Forest Trail or Nephin Beg Forest, or travel Tochar Phadraig
- the ancient pilgrim path from Ballintubber Abbey through Aughagower to Croagh Patrick. |
Westport House
Mayo's only stately home is surrounded by acres of idyllic parklands. During the summer months
this is an ideal centre for a day visit for the family. There are flume rides, a childrens zoo, train rides, pitch and putt and much more. |
