HE DIED MID 19TH CENTURY 1 - Ryan, Richard, Vicar of Rathcore.
author of Directions for proceeding under the Tithe Composition Acts,
with forms of applications, notices, summonses [ ... &c] 3rd edn.,
containing the 7th and 8th George IV. Chap. 60, and notices of some
cases, &c. (Dublin 1828), et al.; but possibly author of Practical
remedies for the practical evils of Ireland (Dublin: Tims; London:
Hatchard 1828), 33pp.
2 - Ricot na Midhe 2000 - Another NUI Maynooth academic, Dr Brian Griffin,
of Bath Spa University, gives a studyof Rev. Richard Ryan, a Protestant
rector of Rathcore in the 1830swho wrote with insight and sympathy of
the ills of pre-Famine Ireland. |
