Maghery beach is a beautiful sandy beach 500 metres from cottages – safe for swimming.

Aranmore Island – a 20 minute ferry crossing from Burtonport fishing village. Beautiful scenery – ferry crossing hourly during summer months.

Croaghy Tower is one of a number of Martello Towers built during the Napoleonic
era. It overlooks Maghery beach and Aranmore Island.

Maghery Lough is located close to the cottages in a Special Area of Conservation
This lake is stocked by Rosses Anglers – area around lake is where a great variety of wild birds are to be seen.

Dunlewey is a village located at the base of Errigal mountain close to the Poisoned Glen.
Dunlewey Lakeside Centre is located here (25 km from cottages).

GolfCruit Island, a 9 hole golf course described as the most scenic 9 hole links course in Ireland, on the edge of the wild and rugged ocean. The island is connected to the mainland by bridge (25 km from cottages).
