United dream the impossible dream

Today (Premiership). Away v Leeds United
The Elland Road cauldron will be every bit as intimidating as Turin. Most of David Leary's young team may not remember the days of Bremner pitted against Stiles, but the crowd will leave them in no doubt as to their feelings for Manchester United. Prediction: draw

May 1 (Prem). Home v Aston Villa
One of only two remaining League games at Old Trafford against a team defeated in eight out of nine matches during the first three months of the year. Beware complacency. Prediction: win

May 5 (Prem). Away v Liverpool
Liverpool approach this game like a punch-drunk heavyweight, with a full trophy cabinet but some recent embarrassments best left forgotten. Prediction: win

May 9 (Prem). Away v Middlesbrough
A tough cookie. Bryan RobsonŐs Boro are the only team to have skipped away from Manchester with a win, and are unpredictable at home. Much as Robson, left, loves his Manchester connection, his heart is very much at Middlesbrough. Prediction: tough draw

May 12 (Prem). Away v Blackburn Rovers
Brian Kidd, for so long Alex FergusonŐs No 2, is in no position to grant any favours. Blackburn are scrambling for every point in their attempt to stave off relegation. Prediction: win

May 16 (Prem). Home v Tottenham Hotspur
Ironies in football abound, and should the threat of Arsenal still loom large, who better to rip the championship from UnitedŐs grip than north LondonŐs Tottenham, led by George Graham. Prediction: a draw, but the Premiership won

May 22 (FA Cup final) At Wembley v Newcastle United
Roy Keane is an effusive competitor at the best of times, and with this being his last hurrah for the season, expect an early display of fireworks Prediction: win

May 26 (Champions League) At the Nou Camp v Bayern Munich
It could come to this. With the Premiership and FA Cup already stowed in the team bus, facing the physically strong Germans without Keane and Scholes will be demanding enough. As for the prospect of another England v Germany penalty shootout . . . Prediction: keep the brandy to hand for an emotional victory
