01 On a chess board the ‘AD’ is allowed to move one cell in any direction.    On a Chinese chess board they must remain within the nine cells of the palace.    One who gives advice - ‘an advisory council.   They move one cell at a time diagonally.   The two ADs are placed left and right of the GE at the start of the game.   Therefore, the ADs may move to five different cells within the Palace.   The sole function of the ADs is to protect the GE and losing an AD can put your GE in danger.   They act as the GEs inner protective layer.   Losing one AD makes the GE vulnerable to attack by two ROs.  

02 The Duke of Wellington, Arthur Wellesley 1769-1852 was the elder statesman (Prime Minister) who guided the young QU Victoria during Britain’s expansion in the 19th century and Churchill filled this same role in the 20th century to the QU of England.   Councils of war are necessary to the operations of war - mutual advice is mutual assistance.   They act in concert and concern for the public welfare.   Advicenna: Vizer of Persia (980-1037).  

03 Kautilya/Chanakya: first Indian political scientist and author of a book on the art of statesmanship entitled ‘Arthashastra’.  

04 Panchatantra (India): ‘The Five Formulas’ - famous books of fables in world literature and authored by the Brahmin prime minister (PM) Vishnu-Sharman.   The purpose of the book was to teach unruly, uneducated princes good manners and diplomacy, what is now referred to as ‘public relations.’   They are: Loss of Friends, The Winning of Friends, How to Deal with Enemies, Loss of Gains and Ill-Considered Actions.   Really a textbook of political science and how to make friends and influence people in the disguise of folk-tales which are easily remembered and recommended for aspiring (perspiring) politicians.  

05 Governor.  Joseph was Prime Minister (PM) under Pharaoh.    Persian governors were satraps.   Roman: procurator.    Ethnarch, steward, steersman, pilot, master of ceremonies.   Paraclete: Greek: ‘the Counsel for the defence.’  

06 Egeria: a nymph who instructed the 2nd KI of Rome in his wise legislation and hence a counsellor, adviser.
