Triangle

The Chesmayne MPs/mps are triangular shaped.   Large triangles are used for the MPs and small triangles for the mps.   On each triangle the monogram of the MP/mp is indicated ie, :L01, KI, QU1, RO1, RO2, BS1, BS2, KT1 and KT2 for the Major Pieces.   PA1 to PA8 for the mps.  The monogram of each MP/mp appears on either side of each triangle.   If two chess players speak different languages ie, say, French and English, then the monograms are printed in French on one side and in English on the other, so that both players can identify the MPs/mps.  The Staunton pictograms may also be printed on the MPs/mps for those players who are familiar with :L01.  Print 8 x 8 board and Pieces.

Tripod.   Fire is indicated by an upward pointing triangle (Aries, Leo and Sagittarius are fire signs).  Related to the number 3.   Male = upward pointing.   Female = downward pointing.   Equilateral: symbol of God and the Trinity.   Often seen with a hand, eye and the Hebrew name of God (Yahweh).   Cornerstone of a Freemason temple.

Hebrew letter Shin (symbolized by the long and hard wearing tooth).  Its Hebrew sign is a triplet of Yods.

The great triangles forming the sides of the Pyramids fall from the sky like beams of the solar disk as they pierce the cloud cover and illuminate the earth in a ladder of rays - the immaterial prototype and the earthly replica are seen together side-by-side.

A downward pointing triangle is a symbol of the feminine principle or Great Mother archetype.

The Star of David is made from two interlocked triangles (one pointing upwards and the other pointing downwards).   Mogen David.   The Trinity.   Father, Son and Holy Ghost.   Triangle with an eye contained within it is a symbol of the all-seeing eye of God (appears on American bank notes).   Tetrahedron (three-dimensional pyramid) made from four equilateral triangles.  These symbols are connected with the Jewish mystical tradition known as Qabalism (Kabalism or Cabilism) or the science known as the ‘Sacred Geometry’.   Intersecting tetrahedrons (also called the Star Tetrahedron).  A three-dimensional star on top of a two-dimensional star is called the ‘Cube of Metatron’.   Metatron is chief of the archangels and sometimes referred to as KI of the angels (Mittron, Metratton, Metaraon or Merraton).   This angel is charged with the sustenance of the human race and in the Talmud and Targum connects the divine with humanity.

Writing: the first writing was pictorial or pictographic which developed into cunieform writing.  The wedge-shaped characters being made with a stylus with a triangular point.   Different letters being formed by the angle at which the stylus was held to impress the clay.  The next step was writing with pen and ink on papyrus and parchment.

Astrology: signs that form a triangle (three points separated by 120 degrees).

Cortina: tripod of Apollo (used for religious purposes by the ancient Romans).

When Cranes fly in triangular formation, the old fly in front and the young are protected in the middle.

Clay tablets dug up in Iraq show that Euclid’s classic triangle problems were studied thirteen centuries before his birth!   Edgar Cayce said that the body is formed in the womb according to the pattern made by the mingling of the life forces of the parents, each with its respective pattern (this being the metaphysical symbolism of the 47th problem of Euclid, the Pythagorean theorem): The square of the hypotenuse of a right triangle is equal to the sum of the squares of the other two sides!
