This is a one-year post Leaving Certificate Course OBJECTIVES OF COURSE To provide students with the knowledge and skills related to computer installation and system management. To prepare students for employment in this area and to provide a basis for further study at third level COURSE CONTENT Computer Architecture and Systems, Computer Programming, Applications Software, Desktop Publishing, CAD, Electronics, Business Administration, Communications. WORK EXPERIENCE The course will include a work experience placement in a relevant employment. ENTRY STANDARD Applicants must have completed a Leaving Cert./Applied Leaving Cert. course or equivalent. CERTIFICATION Students will be entered for the FETAC Level 2 award in Information Technology (CITXX). ENROLMENT Interviews are held from March to May by appointment and in early September.
