This is a one-year post Leaving Certificate Course OBJECTIVES OF COURSE To provide the student with the knowledge of the traditional and electronic media that are used in the area of graphic illustration, giving him/her a range of skills that are relevant to the workplace. COURSE CONTENT Drawing, Graphic Design, Painting, Computer Illustration Graphics, Photography, Desktop Publishing, Illustration, Business Studies, Communications, Work Experience. WORK EXPERIENCE The course will include work simulation or a work experience placement in a relevant employment. ENTRY STANDARD Applicants must have completed a Leaving Cert./Applied Leaving Cert. course or equivalent. CERTIFICATION Students will be entered for the FETAC Level 2 award in Graphic Design (AGDXX). ENROLMENT Interviews are held from March to May by appointment and in early September.
