NEW OPPORTUNITIES IN TELE-SERVICES
As part of a joint venture between the Department of Education
and Science, NCVA, the IDA and the Teleservices industry, Ringsend
Technical Institute is offering a Teleservices course.
Teleservice jobs are based around the use of the phone
and PC. A teleservices worker is normally located in a callcentre
and depending on the business, can be engaged in the following
activities:
· technical support for computer and software customers
· marketing financial services
· direct selling of goods and services over the phone
· handling international enquiries
· customer services
It is estimated that employment in this industry will grow
to 10,000 in the near future.
COURSE CONTENT Information Technology for Teleservices,
Customer Care, Teleservices, Business Management, Communications,
Work Experience
WORK EXPERIENCE
The course will include a work experience placement in a relevant
employment.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS Leaving Cert with at least Grade B in
English(Ordinary Level) or equivalent.
CERTIFICATION All the modules are certified at Level 3
by the National Council for Vocational Awards (NCVA)
ENROLMENT Interviews are held from March to May by appointment
and in early September. |
