This is a one-year post Leaving Certificate Course OBJECTIVES OF THE COURSE To provide a foundation course in theatre performance for students wishing to pursue a career or further studies in this area. COURSE CONTENT Theatre Studies, Acting Skills and Techniques, Performance Craft, Community Theatre, Production Design for Theatre, Communications, Stage Combat, Improvisation, Mime and Voice WORK EXPERIENCE Students will be involved in a production in a professional theatre venue. ENTRY STANDARD Applicants must have completed a Leaving Certificate Course/Applied Leaving Certificate course or equivalent. CERTIFICATION Students will be entered for the FETAC level 2 award in Theatre Performance (EPATP) ENROLMENTS Interviews are held from March to May by appointment and in early September.
