More poetry
Here is some of the work from our fifth and
sixth class pupils…
Ten things
found in a wizard's pocket
A
rotten snail
A
doggie's tail
A book
of spells
A sock
that smells
A leg
from a frog
An ear
from a dog
A small
eye
A hat
from a spy
A bell
that rings
A bee
that stings

Rain
Rain
on the rooftops
Falling
down
Into
the pipes
And
on to the ground
2
Down
the gully
Into
the drain
Onto
the bank
And
into the stream
3
Into
the reservoir
To be
cleaned again
For
people to drink
All
over again

The
glass eye
There
was an old man
Who
decided to buy a pie made from rye
2
He
brought it home and started to eat it
He
felt something hard
He thought
he was going to die
3
He
then realised it was a glass eye
He
rang up the shop and told them about the glass eye
In the
rye pie but they thought it was a lie

Time
My
favourite time of year is Christmas time,
A time
of joy and fun,
Snowmen
and Santa Claus,
Roast
turkey and cream buns
2
I love
the Spring and Summer time,
When I
see the sheep and their young,
And
visiting the seaside,
To
play in the water and the sun.
3
There
comes an end to all of this,
When
we must go back to school
But I
don't mind it will come again
If I
play by the rules.
