1 Hand Form's
It is worth your while spending some time learning hand forms you will need for Self defense There are lot's to learn but for now here are some to get you started:
Taiji Palm ( open Hand)
Although it is a common mistake to hold your hands in a limp type for fashion, or the other extreme after this is to hold the hand so tight and exert to much force, affecting movement and blood circulation! While limpness will stop any energy (Chi) from traveling to your finger tips> So we much find a balance between limp and a tight hand
Taiji Palm
Crane Beak ( or Hook )
Use in the Single Whip, Form a hook or beak by touching your fingers onto your thumb and bending you wrist

Level Fist
Although the level fist you will not use in the 24 form Taiji Quan it is a must for the Kung Fu training. Your Horse Stance training can be done to great effect with the level fist, there is a movement in the 24 form called "Punch Ears with both Fists" We will be looking at later !

Just like the Taiji Palm but take a look at the Thumb
