What is Kinesiology?

Kinesiology is a non-invasive energetic healing science. It can be experienced fully clothed, is very gentle, and to the uninitiated can be a slightly perplexing experience. Yet profound changes to emotional, mental and physical health are often reported after just one treatment lasting only one hour.

Kinesiology is used in the Natural Health Field as an effective and versatile tool to identify and correct stress and imbalance in the body, using muscle testing which gives biofeedback.

Kinesiology is a natural health care system, which uses gentle muscle testing to evaluate many functions of the body in the structural, chemical, neurological, and biochemical realms.

Kinesiological muscle testing does not assess your strength, but tests the ability of the conscious thinking brain to deal with the stress caused by the application of gentle pressure to specific muscles. If the muscles can hold steady then the brain is capable of dealing effectively with the minor stress involved in working that specific muscle. If not then the muscle must be supported by one of a number of techniques, which restore balance and make the efficient functioning of the muscle possible once again.

Kinesiology testing does not diagnose disease but can pin point where the body is ill at ease. Muscle testing enables the therapist to detect minor functional imbalances. Minor imbalances when not corrected, accumulate and cause compensations. Many people when asked to look to the right will automatically turn their head rather than move their eyes. This indicates that is less stressful for the body to turn the whole head than to turn the eyes.

Compensations compound each other, lead to functional changes, and give rise to symptoms of discomfort, pain or maybe allergic reactions. If these warnings are ignored, disease can follow.
