WEBSITE NEWS
I have been busy updating our
school website with the wonderful help of Sioban Harding,
from Microsoft, who has given us the technical format and
templete to put all our ideas and designs into practice.
She made a lovely flower from our pictures for our class
page and made a map for our school tour. Our thanks to Kevin
Foley who created our guest page forma. Unfortunately our
server will not support it so I will have to come up with
another solution so that everyone can send us their comments
which then can be read on the message board. In the meantime
please e-mail u (that at least is working!!) and finally
thanks to Elaine, who showed me how to put a fixed navigation
frame at the top of each page. We hope to have many new
interesting items in the near future. We are always looking
for new submissions, so if you have any suggestions please
pass them on to us
We created our original school
website on Microsoft Front Page in 1997 with the help
of Co-Operation North and ArtsPark (an initiative of the
University of Ulster at Coleraine and Black Star Associates,
Belfast). Peter Hough of ArtsPark came down from Coleraine
for two days, to show how to make the site.
During 1999 We had a visit
from three very nice people from Sun Microsystems, Martin,
Alan and Gerard. They came in to the school three times
to help us with our computers. They cleaned them up, installed
software and helped us solve some problems that we had
with the computers. This was completely voluntary and
of vital importance to us. We are all really grateful
to them, particularly Martin, for giving us their time
and expertise.
