It was a very
proud moment for our school when Gold medalist, Margaret
Grant, back from the Sydney Paralympics, visited us just
before Christmas 2000 and everybody was able to see her
medal and hear about her experiences at the paralympics
. She is a former pupil of the school. Mr.
Jordan presented her with a photo from way back in 1981
where Margaret is posing for a sports promotion.

President
Mary McAleese visited us in 1997. She was lovely and was
interested in meeting everyone. She went around to all
the classes and was introduced to all the children and
staff and said that she was looking forward to visiting
us when we had the new school built She came back and
opened the new school and Clinic this year. a great day
was had by all!

In 1990 Daniel
Day Lewis won the Oscar for his role in 'MY LEFT FOOT'.
Before making the film, and in preparation for his role
as Christy Brown, Daniel spent some weeks in our School
and Clinic. When he won the oscar he brought it to the
school to show it to us. Christy Brown attended The School
and Clinic here.
