Sport:
Corracrin has a proud sporting tradition.
Our success within the context of GAA activities has been handed down over decades.
Last year we reached both the final of the girls and boys competition, a unique
feat by any stretch of the imagination. Our girls are the current county champions,
while our boys' team has reached five county finals over the last decade with
their most recent success in the Northern Standard Cup coming in the 2002 /
2003 campaign.
In recent times our sporting base has increased with the addition of soccer,
rugby, athletics, swimming and from to time to time, basketball. Our biggest
difficulty with regard to sport is the opportunity to compete within the county
and outside of it.
