SCOUTING IN ACTION (Unit Leader/Commisioner)
This two-day weekend Course will help you to
Understand
how to provide proper Child Protection
Understand the way the Scout Method works in each section to provide progressive
training
Learn
ways to recruit, motivate and retain Scouters
Find
out the mysteries of the Commissioning Procedures
Identify
your role in the evalutaion and approval of Scouters
Understand
how to provide "Welcome to Scouting" Induction Training and ongoing
support to your Scouters
Learn
ways to analyse and deal with problems
Find
out how to build your Scouters into a team

When you have attended this Course you go on to Woodbadge Advanced Training. This is in two Modules and you can select whichever you wish to do first. These modules are called "Programme Skills (Unit Leader/Commissioner)" and "You, the leader"
PROGRAMME SKILLS (Unit Leader/Comissioner)
This two-day weekend Course deals with practical aspects of the Programme, especially outdoor activities.These may include Systematic Planning, Development Planning, Scouting and the Community, Practical Promise & Law, Using the Media, Public Speaking, Delegation, NHQ Services, Extension Scouting, International Scouting, Adventurous Activities, Accident Prevention.
