On April 7th 2001, a new
version of Battle Royale was released in Japan. The "Special
Version" revisited the movie, making around 100 edits
to audio and visuals bringing the running time from 113 mins
to 122mins. Many people believe this to be a toned-down version
but I can assure you that the violence is not cut in any way.
In-fact, you could argue that this is more-violent than the
original as CG blood was added to some deaths. What follows
is a detailed description of all (or as many I can find) the
additions in the Special Version. This section will be completed
in parts as the run up to the UK release of Special Version
