Guns' contribute a studio version, of their now live favourite, Bob Dylan's "Knockin' On Heavens Door, to the soundtrack of the motion picture, "Days Of Thunder", which differs to the version later to be heard on the "Use Your Illusion 2" album.

They donate the song "Civil War", also to be heard on the later, on the "Use Your Illusion 2" album, to "The Romanian Angels Appeal" album, "Nobodys Child".

Reluctantly, Steven Adler Is fired from the band, After repeated attempts to help him resolve his drug addiction, which was hindering him in his live and recording career.

Matt Sorum is announced as Guns N'Roses' new drummer. He had spent the last year playing with The Cult on their "Sonic Temple" album and tour.
