| The main event on August 20th was started at Blackball Head on the Beara Peninsula when a fire was lit and a flotilla of vessels gathered below the cliffs in Bantry Bay. Fires were then lit to the east and west, sending a signal to Dublin and to Donegal that the Event had started |
