Deirdre Hall, is a fabric artist with a strong interest in landscape and Irish megalithic culture. Presently she is focusing her attention on producing a range of reversible hats,as shown below. Deirdre's silkscreened hats are inspired from megalithic and celtic sources which gives her hats a unique and interesting look. She uses a wide range of interesting high quality fabrics on non printed hats.

The three pictured printed designs are:

Meg 1 Triple spiral from Newgrange, Boyne Valley. This is the premier sacred symbol/mandala from Ireland and as a true symbol it's power radiates silently in ways indescrible in words. This print is made from our original woodblock print of the triple spiral. The print is also available woodblockprinted on handmade paper, for details see our home web page, Stonelight.

Meg 2 Cosmological design from Dowth, Boyne Valley. Both these designs date from @ 3200 BCE and carry the mystery and symbolism of a remarkable culture of Astronomical and Ritual masters.

Ad 1 This design comes from the seventh century illuminated manuscript, The Book of Durrow.

Deirdre is happy to supply hats both individually and on a wholesale basis. All hats are made from high quality fabrics, are reversible and have an inner lining and come in medium and large sizes. Should you like special colour or fabrics just email your requirements. Visit our home site to see more about our research and other projects.
