by brothers Christian and Stefan Matz on the
remote, beautiful western edge of Connemara, this
small country hotel is situated on a stunning
stretch of Atlantic coastline 7 miles south of
Clifden. Guests return to savour the surroundings,
the hospitality and most of all the food. Stefan
was awarded the Egon Ronay Ireland 1995 Chef of
the Year for running "one of the very best
restaurants in Ireland". Stefan's dedicated,
passionate cooking is complimented by excellent
service and natural, unassuming hospitality.
