SPLASHDOWN CAMP
A WET AND WILD WEEKEND
May weekend
*NB: Each group has
to supply a campfire sketch
Each troop bring their
own food
Cook on Gas an area will
be made available in the hall for your troop/ unit
Showers are available to all, but will be managed
to ensure that the hot water is not hogged by a few individuals. This will be
done by first requesting that the
shower be vacated, when this is ignored a bucket of
cold water will be cast over the door to encourage the vacation of same.
We hope the Adults will run the activities ensuring
that all the scouts are
accommodated and encouraged to take part in all the
activities
Water activities sorted
to date:
Sailing
dinghys
Rowing
Canoeing
Power
craft
canoeing

Saturday
These will be organised
in a Round-robin' fashion.
Starting a 10.00hrs on
Saturday morning (after breakfast)
The entire camp will be
divided into groups of approximately 15 scouts.
Then each group goes to
an activity, spends about 45mins at the activity and
move to the next on list
We will stop for lunch
at about 13.00hrs
Back on the water for
14.00hrs
Were sure that we
can keep going till 16.00hrs. then stop to make dinner .
Canoe or Power boat for
leaders to play with evenings
Night game (not sorted
yet ) at 20.00hrs
Campfire - each group must
supply a campfire sketch.
Sunday
Church/Mass on Sunday
morning
Weather permitting we will move the water
activities to the beach this then will be run on choice, Leaders will be
expected to ensure that some of the activities are not hogged by individuals.
