CHAPTERS OF ROSE CROIX

Bodies of General Membership

May be affiliated to by any member of Fifth Degree or above, though no Member may affiliate to more than one Chapter at the same time.

Chapters deal with the general social requirements of the Order members from Fifth Degree upward, and co-ordinate the provision to the local membership of those resources of the Order characteristic of the Fifth Degree, such as counselling services, therapies, mediation services, financial assistance, general 'Masonic charity', etc. The Most Wise Sovereign of each Chapter appoints a Committee to arrange entertainments and other social activities for all Brethren of the Order in the region. These must take into account their express tastes and proclivities, and must not depend upon any one static definition of 'entertainment'.

The MWS and Officers of any Chapter must, on notification of a dispute between Brethren in their area of jurisdiction, immediately offer to mediate. This entails the receipt of an account of the matter of the dispute from all parties involved, and such subsequent deliberation and presentation of proposals to the parties involved as may be necessary to achieve mutual accomodation, should this be possible. Any one process of mediation may not continue unresolved for longer than 28 days before the case is referred to the Grand Tribunal.

Chapters have authority to create their own Bye-laws, and to conduct their business as they please, so long as these practices do not conflict with the general aims and principles of the Order.
