School Leavers and Graduation
Pupils leave the school at the end of the school year in which they
have reached their 18th birthday. During that year the school psychologist
assesses the pupil. The class teacher draws up a detailed report.
Application is made to St Joseph's Vocational Centre or a suitable
adult day service. A case conference is held to make arrangements
for transfer to the adult centre. The parents, class teacher, school
psychologist, social worker and relevant support staff attend this.
A graduation lunch is held for students, their families and relevant
school staff at the end of the school year. The school principal
presents each pupil with a graduation certificate.
