Discover Primary Science

I think discovery science experiments should be performed in every school. Our class has had a lot of fun finding out about various information through this programme. Early this school year we found our lung capacity. That was my favourite experiment that we did.

Spiral snakes was good too we had to colour in paper snakes brightly then we had to cut them out. After that we hung them over the heater. This experiment was to prove that heat rises. After completing an experiment we wrote a report explaining what we used and what we did.

Mirror writing was one of the more recent experiments we did. It included two people. One held the mirror up to the page while the other tried to write their name by only looking in the mirror. When we were doing the experiment we found out lots of things about looking in the mirror at different angles.

Discovery science has made classroom science much more fun, in my opinion. I think we did really cool experiments.

Our school is participating in a program called DISCOVERY PRIMARY SCIENCE . If our school completes five discovery science projects our school will get an AWARD .

This program teaches children things they don't already know for example , I didn't know if you held a sheet of paper over a radiator it will move [slightly] as heat rises. I also didn't know if you spin a set of colours it will turn out white [by the way white is not a colour, nor is black]. Also we did mirror writing, if you put a mirror in the centre of a name it will make a picture.

We will be doing our last project soon and I hope it will be a good one. We also did experiments such as Spiral Snakes and Lung Capacity.
