Shelbourne is the local football club in Drumcondra. They play in Tolka Park, which is on Richmond road. They were established in 1895 and are still running good today. Their first ground was in Inshecore on the South side of Dublin. Their big rivals are Shamrock Rovers, St.Pats, Cork City and the Bohemians. The sponsors of Shelbourne are Dulux Paints. Umbro are the makers of their jerseys. Tolka Park’s capacity is over 6,000.

Shelbourne run youth teams aged from under 6 to under 18s.Most of the youth matches that Ireland play at home are played at Tolka Park. Manchester United have a link with Shelbourne so some of the Youth teams go over to Manchester to play them (beat them), so that the Manchester coaches can pick who they think is going to be the next Roy Keane or Denis Irwin and sign them on to Manchester United. All the kids who play for the Shelbourne youths get a Shelbourne tracksuit, a Shelbourne jersey, a t-shirt with the Shelbourne crest and the Manchester United crest on it, a kit bag for your boots and a Shelbourne season ticket.

Shelbourne’s Home jersey is normally red. The Shelbourne crest has three castles on it; it is like the Dublin crest. Shelbourne built a new stand in Tolka Park last year. Shelbourne won the league and cup last year and are on course to do it again, they are top of the table and are in the Quarter   Finals of the cup. Shelbourne’s Star Player!

Is Ritchie Baker who plays on the right wing.
