Swimming, Rowing, Soccer and Basketball 1st Year activities take place on a Thursday afternoon. The activities involve soccer, swimming, rowing and basketball and work on a rotation basis. This gives students a chance to participate in a variety of sports that they might not otherwise get involved in. The school bus delivers students to rowing classes on the Liffey and swimming lessons in St Paul's Swimming Pool on the Navan Road. Students learn basketball on the school grounds and take soccer skills in Grangegorman Hospital grounds. The student view is that this is the best part of the school week. I wonder why they say that?
