2002 season continues..

Strokestown 1-08 Castlrea St. Kevins 1-07

The most successful year in the clubs history just got better on Saturday 12th as Strokestown managed to capture the all-county league 2002.The match posed also as a 2003 O'Rourke Cup 3rd round in an attempt to lighten the fixtures load.

This leaves Strokestown as Roscommon Senior double winners for 2002 as well as capturing the U-21 division 2 title.

Easter Monday sees the Town taking on Kilmore in an effort to capture the Senior Treble.

Crossmolina too Strong      01/12/02

Connacht Final 2002

In terrible weather conditions at Hyde Park Strokestown lost the connacht final to Crossmolina by a score of 1-11 to 10 points. With both sides showing great

hunger for a win man of the match Kieran McDonald proved to be the difference between the sides with a fantastic performance.

StrokestownGAA would like to wish the Best of luck to The Deel Rovers as they continue in the All-Ireland club championship.

It was a disappointing result but what a fantastic year for Strokestown.

Connacht Semi-Final

In a match where the old cliche, 'A game of two halves' found new meaning, Strokestown narrowly beat Eastern Harps by 8 points to 7 to put the Town through to the Connacht final for the first time in the clubs history. Emmet Collins was the man of the moment when he pointed in the last minute to the relief of the strokestown contingent.
