Congratulations to the surfers
who came to the Easter surf camp this April.
They experienced conditions that ranged from
glassy, perfect peeling waves in sunny weather,
to bitter north easterly winds with hail squalls
and air temps of 2 degrees C.
Everyone stuck it out and finished with a wind
burned smile. All surfers started on Monday
with previous surfing experience, and by using
different sized boards and personalised technique
focus they all moved on to the next level with
their surfing. The week ended with an easy going,
low pressure surf competition. Held in very
poor conditions, all surfers pushed themselves
to squeeze out every last drop from each wave.
Every medal and cert was hard won.
A big thanks to everyone who
took part, and to the parents for putting up
with the cold weather and high speed car park
wetsuit sheddings.
