If you don't know what this page is about despite looking at the luminous blue heading above this sentence, you need to see an optitian, and a psyciatrist while your at it! You may be suprised to find one or two cheats here that you havn't found on any other page, some due to the fact that I did not just rip this off another website. Actually from a 6 year old magazine. Unfortunately, the age of the mag means I don't have any Sonic and Knuckles cheats, but watch out, I'll be updating this page soon. I will not cheat you out of a good cheat! (Well? Well? Oh never mind!)
I also have a selection of Game Genie cheats for Sonic 2 and Sonic 3. The K-Gen MegaDrive/Genesis emulator includes a Game Genie and if anyone knows how to work it, e-mail me immediately at, yes you guessed it, flyingfox@eircom.net . For those of you who don't know. The Game Genie was a popular device that was used in consoles (a different Game Genie was made for each consoles) that allowed you to pull off cool cheats simply by entering a code.
Anyway here are the cheats, I'll be implementing one of those automatic scroll-to-a-certin-point-in-the-page-by-clicking-here system into these contents as soon has I figure out how the heck to do it!

To be honest, I am not sure if this cheat even works, I got it off a guy at a bus stop. Put the Sonic 3D cartrige into the MegaDrive/Genesis at an angle. Then, as you push the power button on, kick the MegaDrive/Genesis. You should then get through to a Level Select. I havn't tried the cheat out myself, but don't let my love and instinctive protection of my MegaDrive get in the way of your desire try out this cheat.
Sonic 1
How to start on a different level
When the title screen pops up, press: UP, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT and then A and START at the same time.
Change Sonic into anything you want
When you are on the title screen, press UP, C, DOWN, C, LEFT, C, RIGHT, C and then A and Start. Do you C what I am talking about? (Okay, I'll calm down a bit.)
Now, to change into anything, use the B button
Change Sonic into a backround shape
Repeat as above but press B and START at the end instead of A and Start.
Paste objects onto the screen
Repeat again as the last process but instead of pressing A and Start, press B and Start.
If you want a strange Sonic
When Sonic speeds across Green Hill Zone after defeating Dr. Robotnik, hold down A, B and C. What then happens? I'm not telling. Honestly, I know what happens, I'm just not telling you. Honest. Alright, I don't have a clue, I got this from a magazine and all it said was that you got a "Strange Sonic", happy?
More time with a broken clock
At the title screen, press (here we go again) UP, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT and you should hear a ringing sound when you press START . When you play the game, pause it by pressing START (no all you emulator using people, pausing emulation by pressing ALT+P or any other method will not work, take my advice and do it the old fashioned way) and while paused, press RIGHT on the Joypad....or ummm keys! Sonic has now slowed down and the clock has stopped. Why you would want to play Sonic the Hedgehog in slow motion, even if the clock does stop, is something that is left entirely up to you.
Mega bonous time
If you complete acts 1 and 2 of the Green Hill Zone in less then 30 seconds, you earn a mega 50,000 points bonous. Better put your petal to the metal, I mean PEDAL, PEDAL to the metal! Hmmmmm, I wonder if the above cheat works with this cheat. Only one way to find out. Actually several ways to find out: hack the ROM, ask a friend, ask Sega not to mention actually trying it out for yourself!
Sonic 2
Start at any level you want
At the options screen, select and play tunes 19, 65, 09, and 17 (you don't need to listen to them fully). Press A and START simultanously and when you return to the title screen, press A and START again.
How to create a Super Sonic
On the level select, go to the sound test and play tracks, 04, 01, 02 and 06, next select your level. After you collect 50 rings, press jump twice and you should become Super Sonic.
Extra Continues Cheat
For 14 continues, go to the option screen and play tracks 19, 65, 09, 17, 01, 01, 02 and 04. Move the highlighter to the player select and press START. This is a cool cheat if you don't mind not hearing SFX and hearing track 04 constantly!
Change Sonic into the Sprite of your choice
No, not into the suprisingly refreshing lemon and lime soft drink, into the, ummm how do you describe it? Hang on, I'll get a dictionary.....Okay, the dictionary said "an elf, fairy or goblin." Somehow I don't think that's exactly what I'm talking about here, just use the cheat and find out for yourself. Level Select, sound test, tunes: 01, 09, 09, 02, 01, 01, 02 and 04. You should hear a chime. Select the level you want and press A, START and B simultanously. Now, press B to start the cheat. To change into another sprite, press B. Press C to make the change permanent.
Bring on the Superheroes
Okay, this is a long one so brace yourselves. Go to the level select and go to.......come on you know this one.....yes you've nearly got it.........YES it's the sound test. Anyway play tunes (not again) 01, 09, 09, 02, 04. Reset and return to the level select and play 04, 01, 02, 06. Hilight the level you are going to play and press and hold down A and START until Sonic and Tails pop up. Next, collect 50 rings, paste a Monitor onto the screen using the technique above. Press C to turn Sonic blonde and smash the monitor and Tails goes crazy with stars. Get rid of Sonic's rings and collect another 50. Watch out, here come the Superheroes.
Always win in Casino Night Zone slot machines
If you always want to get three in a row in the Casino Night Zone slot machines, simply press C just after the first symbol comes into place. The next two symbols will then be the same. Be careful using this cheat because if you press C and find out that the first symbol was Robotnik, you'll be in trouble.
Loadsa Lives
For two player only. Lose two of you three lives and all of your rings. After player one finishes the act, wait until the timer ticks down to about 2-4 seconds before killing yourself. You should start then next act with 97 lives

Level Select
Debug mode by pressing A and START after you have hilighted the level you want to play on the level select (B to change Sonic, A switches between the shapes available, C pastes the objects onto the screen and B changes Sonic back to his original form.
SuperSonic- just use debug mode to paste a moniter and break it
Slow motion- pause the game using START and hold B to play the game in slow motion.
And now the last thing to put on this page,
