Carrickmacross has much to boast on.  Visit the ample specialty shops on the main streets including the Carrickmacross Lace museum, have a relaxing round on any of the three major golf courses in the area.  You can visit nearby inniskeen and the Patrick Kavanagh Resource centre, spend some time fishing in some of the finest lakes anywhere or just take a walk through the quiet trails.  After your daytime pursuits unwind dining on one of our local retaurants, we have chinese, indian, as well as classic european specialties on offer and there are over 11 different pubs and two discos to choose from.

Lakes and Fishing in the Area
Central to Carrickmacross 15 minutes walk on R178 towards Dundalk you'll find Lough Na Glack , whose main quarry consists of Bream, Trench and Hybrids.

 

and on the way there you'll see Lisanisk. a shallow lake in which the main quarry are Bream Trench and Carp.
