Stanly ten Dam Dutch Students

Our European Project has helped us make many friends in Europe over the last few years. Each year Dutch teacher training students visit us.

Our Friends in Europe

Our school is doing a European Education Project with one school in England and two schools in Holland. The school in England is called Harworth Church of England primary school and the two schools in Holland are 'Alfonsus School' and 'De Regenboog'. The name of our project is Music linking us together. The motto for our project is "Ní neart go cur le chéile" which means that there is strengh in unity. The benefit of the project to us is that the Dutch and English teachers come regularly to Ireland to visit us so we can learn some of their customs and traditions and beautiful dances and songs. From this project everyone in 5th and 6th class has a Pen pal in Holland and we write to each other regularly. Everyone in our whole school feels that the idea of our project is a very good one.
