Saint Leonards Hall Saint Leonards Hall is situated approximately 100
metres up the road from our school.During Christmas '98, there was a big storm and the
roof was blown off it. Immediately members of the community began to raise money for the
restoration of the hall. A year ago, the renovation of the hall began. In January 1999, it
was finally finished. |
Our school often uses the hall. In 1995, the
school held a big Christmas Concert there. Sometimes when it is raining, or when the
football pitch is wet, the football coaches do their coaching in the hall.
The hall was originally used as a church, but on the 31st of October, 1971,
it was closed and a new church was opened. The priest at the time was Fr. Hammill.
