Gear

The correct clothing is essential if athletes are to get the maximum benefit from training.

Outdoor Gear

During the winter season many of the clubs training sessions are out doors and as such the weather plays an important role. Therefore it is imperative that athletes carry with them to training gear that is suitable for these sessions.

The key to out door gear is layers.

Layers allow you to reduce the amount of clothes you wear if you get too hot. Always wear a pair of shorts, a tee shirt, cotton socks and good running shoes. Next you need a tracksuit bottom and top. Then you need a wet weather top, hat and gloves. You do not have to spend a lot of money on expensive gear.

Indoor Gear

When we train inside in the gym then you must have shorts, a tee shirt, cotton socks and good running shoes.

Spikes

The question of do I need spikes or not? This is very simple. If you intend to compete at county, provincial or national level then you need spikes.

Schedules

The club has a predetermined schedule for all events. We do however design specific schedules for athletes who have reached a certain age and proficiency in their event. Athletes must demonstrate a willingness to complete the schedule
