S haskeen a traditional Irish group
from the West of Ireland got their name from a Reel called
THE SHASKEEN.
Formed in London in 1970, SHASKEEN play a fire brand style
of Traditional Irish Music reminiscent of a house set dance
seen back in Ireland before the introduction of television.
With their albums SHASKEEN, THE GREEN GROVES OF ERIN, THE
DAWN, THE ASH PLANT and the singles THE JOYS OF LIFE, MY LOVE
IS IN AMERICA, ATLANTIC BREEZE, THE MOUSE BEHIND THE DRESSER,
shaskeen have gone from strength to strength recently celebrating
their 25th anniversary with their SILVER JUBILEE ALBUM and
60 min Video SHASKEEN LIVE IN CONCERT AT JOHNNY FOXE'S.
SHASKEEN have appeared on numerous TV and Radio shows, performing
at set-dances throughout Ireland, England, Scotland, Spain,
Moscow and the US.
