John Prine - In Spite Of Ourselves.

I love John Prine, I fucking hate this album.
John Prine is cool, his voice is cool, his songs are cool, everything is cool.
But this album is not. It features some of the most corny, whiney, unimaginative country shite, I have ever heard. John you are above this!! Why did you have me waste my money on this??

I'd bring it back to the store for a refund, only it's not worth having the fight with some power hungry teenage- gimp- manager, who's stupid idiot face, I would want to smash in.

It becomes transparently clear how crap this music is & how great John is, when you hear the one song written by him on the album: In Spite Of Ourselves.
It's clever, funny and brilliant, just what you expect from Prine.
So gather all around me my contemporary peers & don't by this album.

I don't know really..... If you chicks name is Sharleen and she's missing most of her teeth and she chews tobacco and you're pretty sure she used to be your sister, then yes, she probably will like this cd.
