Vrroooomm, vroooooom, screeech, neooowwww.......... ahhhh, the kids in my neighbourhood, they love stealing those cars, the crazy bastards. Nothin' keeps 'em happier then when they are ripping around the streets at four in the morning, ram raiding shops and smashing up some rich gimps' brand new motor off of some much loved, granny's head.

Me, i prefer Driver. It's a little less dangerous and the cops are less inclined to throw your ass in the slammer for a couple of years.
Actually they seem more interested in flipping your car over and squishing your brain in this game.

Driver by GT Interactive software was the first psx game in ages to get me firing up the ol' playstation on a regular basis. Once you get over the long loading times (And i mean looooooong, why the hell can't they bring out games like this on the loadingless N64?) and the occasional bug or two (that's me putting it mildly: there are so many bugs in Driver you'd think it was a pc-game) you've got a pretty good game on your hands here.

Initially you have to get past a little proving-your-worth session at the beginning and then you are on to the missions. Most of them are of the drive from a to b ilk but i never found myself getting bored with the formula.
The most fun i had was after i beat the game (yes, i know, i am great) and had access to the cheats. First i'd slap on the invicibilty cheat, then i'd drive around one of the cities smashing up cars and generally causing much mayhem. Tell me a better way to spend a Sunday afternoon (yeah i know there's loads, shut up smart ass).

So all in all, i would recommend this game, i'm not saying i would like to have spent full price on it but it's definitely worth getting, especially if you like driving games (which i don't normally).
Coffee Factor
Well, during the load screens you could nip down to the shops, buy some coffee beans, say hello to your neighbours, get home, grind the beans, brew yourself a nice latte, bake some biscuits, phone your mother and ask her to drop around so you can catch up on the family health and gossip (you've been meaning to call your mother for ages anyway) have a few laughs, a nice latte, a nice chocolate buscuit or two, do the washing up, then be ready to sit down to the last ten minutes of the loading....
Chick Factor
For some reason my lovely girlfriend enjoyed sitting down with this game, crashing into cars and screaming "Die Travors Die AHH HA HA HA!!!!".

Weird.
RUN!!
It's hard to stay on track....he he.
Guess where you have to go?
