Song of the Sea

I am the sea the giver of life,
I am immune to any knife.

I am the home to many creatures,
But forgiveness is my strongest feature.

I welcome you all to the shore of my ocean,
As you frolic and put on sun lotion.

In winter and snow sometimes I tire,
But when I see spring my spirits soars.

Nigel o'Donoghue
I am home to many creatures,
I am dangerous and deep,
My waves crash off rocks,
I never go to sleep.

I have heard voices and laughter,
I am very rough,
I am always lonely,
But try to act tough.

I am the colour of sadness
I am vast,
I have heard seagulls and seen sharks,
The day seems to go so fast.

Ann O'Grady
I am very lonely,
I don't have any friend,
No matter how much I moan,
My loneliness will never end.

I see lots of things,
Moving and sleeping,
I just can't look,
Or I will just start weeping.
They always have friends
I don't have one,
I can't start feeling sorry for myself,
Or I wont have any fun.

I don't like when I ice over
It is so cold,
All the children are disappointed,
Because all the swimming has to hold.
Patrick O'Connor

I am the sea,
So powerful and vast,
Sometimes I am dangerous,
Sometimes I am fast.

I can be cruel,
I can be mysterious,
I can be calm,
Or even very dangerous.

When the sun shines
I am crystal clear,
Sometimes I am lonely,
You better watch out when I'm near.

Hannah Quinn
I am crystal clear,
I have a strong shine,
When the sun gleams on me,
I always feel fine.

Sometimes I am calm,
Sometimes I am rough,
And some times I am neither of them,
Sometimes I am tough.

When the Winter comes,
Everybody goes,
I am left alone,
While it slowly snows.

Patrick Baker.

I am the sea,
So mighty and vast,
I am home to many creatures,
That have died in the past.

I can be dangerous,
I can be tough,
I can be cruel,
I can be rough.

I can be calm,
My waves can be crashing,
In summer I give you fun,
But you go when the rain is lashing.

Caoimhe Fahy.
