The unprecedented advances in DNA technology and genetic manipulation have allowed for this brave new world to emerge from the genetic melting pot of homo sapiens to the new post human. The way forward has not been easy and many sacrifices have been made along the way, but this has been true of all great empires throughout the ages. The loss of the eurasian conurb to the PIP virus in 2079 led to the immediate end of the Genewar and the formation of the United Corporate Front in 2080. The UCF has strived since that date to set up a corporate alliance that would unite the planet, and make the long aspired for notion of Utopia a reality.
