Before your trip your tasks are as follows -

Discuss and record what you already know about the country and the people. Do you notice any common stereotypes? - (check your dictionary for any words in italics)
Next, organise how you are going to get to Japan , and how much it is going to cost.
Find out what currency you will need and what the exchange rate is at the moment.
You will need to find suitable accommodation in Japan for the length of your stay and calculate the costs in Euro and Japanese Currency.
You will also need to find out what the weather is like there at this time of year and decide what clothes and other necessary items you are going to bring.
Your editor and family will want to know how to telephone you when you are there, so find out how to make an international call to Japan, and what the time difference between Ireland and Japan is.
