Joanna is an accomplished professional performer, both as a soloist and in ensemble. A past pupil of the singing teachers Dr Veronica Dunne and Professor Paul Deegan, she is currently with Evelyn Dowling and Alison Young. Joanna is in UCD studying for a Bachelor of Music Degree, whilst maintaining her singing and teaching careers.

Upcoming solo engagements include Handel’s Messiah and Operatic Recitals. Recent credits include the première of That yonge Child by Peter Parshall (broadcast on RTE Lyric FM), Handel’s Messiah, the Stabat Mater by Pergolessi, the Fauré Requiem, Mozart’s Requiem and Coronation Mass, and the Dvorák Mass in D.

Joanna specialises in singing sacred music and has recently moved into the area of conducting and musical direction. She is a Lay Clerk and soloist in Christ Church Cathedral Choir and a trained cantor. still sings regularly in other churches, especially the Church of the Assumption, Booterstown.
