Another good weekend away despite the bad weather. Everyone arrive on
Friday evening. We stayed in a brilliant hostel, Garten Outdoor Education
Centre which is beside Lake Garten which is 2km outside Church Hill.. Very
nice setting. Due to the bad weather, we walked the full length of the track
in Glenveigh National Park in pouring rain. Finished early and shower up. The
hostel was very warm and we had a lovely evening meal. Then we “invaded”
Church Hill to the local public house where there was criac and dancing. Next
morning, some of the members went locally to climb Errigal and others went to
Horn Head and did a lovely hike around the north of the head and saw
spectacular waves. Again, thanks to all the organisers of this weekend. |
