October 2000: Waterford County Council Environment Awards My poem was awarded second prize by the County Council for the school environment poetry competition under 10. I got a certificate and a book. OUR ENVIRONMENT People come and listen, to what I have to say, Our towns are getting dirter day by day, Theres litter in the street, Rubbish everywhere People drop their wrappers, and they don't seem to care
We need to work together, and involve everyone From children to adults, it could be lots of fun So come on everybody, let's be on our way And clean up our for a brighter new clean day. by Marie |
