New Helicopter
A commercial Eurocopter EC155 heads south over Wicklow bay , she is based on the Dauphin , a type used by the Irish Air Corp for many years. It was nice to hear the hum as she transited over the bay , it brought back memories of when the Dauphins trained in the bay .

The GREATER MANCHESTER CHALLENGE arrives for a overnight stop at Wicklow , the ketch is a regular visitor to the port.

The RO/RO ship KANO II goes south past Wicklow head after bringing back Irish Army equipment from a UN Peace keeping mission in Liberia.

JOPI is seen southbound to Arklow after bringing rock to the coastal protection project between Greystones and Newcastle, while the mussel trawler WINGS OF THE MORNING is inbound for Wicklow harbour.

Naming Ceremony of ARKLOW FLAIR at Arklow.
Mrs Nelly Byrne (who named the ship) with Arklow Shipping Manager James S. Tyrrell .
ARKLOW FLAIR was built in Spain .
After the naming a reception was held on the bridge , before the ship sailed for Dublin to load ore.
