The story doesn't end here, but I feel I've
looked back on Bruxelles enough for now. For people who may
remember the 80s in Dublin from a similar perspective, I've
posted more of my photo collection on these pages. They include
people I knew, but lost track of down the years; others I see
from time to time; still others I should make the effort to
telephone and catch up on. You know the way it is.
"Thank you" to John O'Toole for
supplying images from his photo albums and for suggesting where
to have my old negatives reprinted. We've "ooohed" and
"aaahed" and scratched our heads in puzzlement at some
of the faces that have reappeared here.
If you recognise yourself, a parent, or a
friend from these pictures, (and especially if you have some old
snaps that might be added to this page) it'd be nice to hear from
you at willie.walsh@oceanfree.net.
I hope your heart is doing well these days...
that it bruised, but didn't break. And if, like me, you survived
your youth in Ireland, more power to your liver! Cheers!
