History: The class was founded in 1997 by Nathalie Devlin, TCRG/ADCRG and Melanie Devlin, TCRG. Both teachers started their dancing careers with dance teacher Erin O'Dalaigh in Bray and also studied with the world-renowned dance teacher Marie Duffy in Dublin City. Ms Duffy is best known for her choreography on the "Lord of the Dance" and "Celtic Tiger" shows starring Michael Flatley. Both Melanie and Nathalie have held many titles at World, All-Ireland and Leinster levels in both solo and figure dancing.

13-11-2007: World Record!!
On November 8th 2007, dancers from CLRG Leinster Region were invited to attempt to break the World Record for the "Longest Riverdance Line" previously held by the Semple-Morris School in London standing at 116 dancers. The Leinster dancers, including some from the Devlin School of Irish Dancing, turned out in their droves to smash the World Record which now stands at 220 dancers. Congratulations to those who took part, Niamh Drury, Hazel O'Connor, Niamh O'Sullivan, Nicole Johnston, Hannah Johnston and Sarah Bermingham.
13-11-2007: Nathalie and Melanie would like to congratulate all of their dancers who competed at the recent Leinster Championships at the National Basketball Arena in Tallaght, especially those who received our many first place positions in both solo and figure dancing.
