O'Conner commanded a regiment of the Wild Geese at the Battle of Ramillies
in Flanders on 23rd May 1706. He was part of the raiding party sent
to destroy the train in Ballyneety.

Clare was in command of 3 Irish Regiments and the Duke of Marlborough
was in command of the opposing British/Dutch/Danish troops during
this battle. They heavily defeated the Irish and French, who lost
about 17,000 men.
